How to Make a Treemap Chart in Google Sheets |
The Treemap chart is relatively new to the MS Google Sheets charting toolbox. A treemap chart is a type of data visualization that provides a hierarchical view of the data, making easier to spot patterns.
On a treemap, each item or branch is represented by a rectangular shape, smaller rectangles represent the sub-groups or sub-branches. The color and size of rectangles are typically correlated with the tree structure, which in return makes it easier to see the groups and sizes. Treemap charts are great for highlighting the contribution of each item to the whole, within the hierarchy.
