The Cisco Network Service Orchestrator (NSO) Essentials for Programmers and Network Architects v3.1 course is a 4-day course that is designed to provide students a brief overview of the NSO solution, NETCONF, YANG, and XPath. After this overview is completed, the course focuses on service creation, device and configuration management, NSO maintenance, NSO options and integrations, and basic NSO troubleshooting.

Topics covered in the course include:

  • Explaining the benefits and uses of Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO)
  • Installing NSO and describing how NSO uses NETCONF and the Device Manager component
  • Describing how YANG is used with NSO, creating and deploying a service, and explain NSO FASTMAP
  • Designing and managing services with YANG models
  • Performing NSO configuration and basic troubleshooting, and describing the following NSO features: integration options, alarms and reporting, scalability and performance options, and available function pack
