The AWS Business Essentials course will provide students with an overall understanding of the AWS Cloud. Students will learn about core cloud concepts and AWS services, security, architecture, pricing and support.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a secure and robust cloud computing platform run by Amazon. The AWS platform offers computing power, cloud data storage, content delivery, and a host of other functionality that helps businesses grow and scale.
Topics covered in the course include:
- Value and benefits of the AWS cloud
- Valuable ways that the AWS platform can be used
- Understanding the robust security capabilities, controls, and assurances in place to maintain security and data protection
- Articulating financial impacts that the AWS cloud can have on an organization's procurement cycle, cost management, and contracts, while minimizing risks associated with consumption-based pricing models.
Certification Information: This class will provide students an excellent foundation for the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification. This AWS Business Essentials course can be combined with a free 7-hour elearning class offered by Amazon for students to complete their preparation for the AWS Cloud Practitioner exam. Students can register for the free AWS class at: AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials elearning on Amazon web site.
Target Student: This course is ideal for individuals who need to understand the business benefits of AWS and who work with others who are in IT. For example, sales, legal, marketing staff members should attend this class. In addition, this course is appropriate for c-level executives.
