Course Description:

  The Crystal Reports Part 2 course is designed to teach students how to to use the advanced features of Crystal Reports to generate reports in the format you desire. Students will create complex reports and data sources using the tools in Crystal Reports. Tehy will also create sophisticated reports including subreports and cross-tabs, and increase the speed and efficiency of their reports by using SQL queries.

Crystal Reports is software that helps users build advanced reports with ease, presenting complex information in an understandable way.

Topics covered in the course include:

• Creating automatic and manual running totals.
• Working with cross-tab reports.
• Adding subreports.
• Creating drill-downs in a report.
• Using SQL statements in report processing.
• Creating complex formulas.
• Adding charts to reports.
• Enhancing report functionality.

Target Student: This course is ideal for students who know how to create basic list and group reports and need to create reports that include subreports, cross-tabs, advanced formulas, and charts based on more than one data series. Students may also need to build tools that make it easier for other people to create reports. They may or may not have programming and/or SQL experience. Knowledge of SQL and the Crystal Reports Part 1 course contents are recommended.
