Course Description:
The IBM InfoSphere Information Analyzer Essentials 11.5 course is a 4-day course that is designed to teach students how to use the IBM InfoSphere suite to analyze data and report results to business users. Information discovered during analysis will be used to construct data rules. The course explores techniques for delivering data analysis results to ETL developers and demonstrates how to develop more meaningful meta data to reflect data discovery results. An information analysis methodology and a case study will be used to guide exercises.

- Analyzing data structures to determine agreement with documented metadata
- Discovering data anomalies
- Identifying invalid and incomplete data values
- Determining potential primary keys to table structures
- Adding business meaning to data
- Producing deliverables that can be used by business users and ETL developers
- Configuring Information Analyzer
- Administering the Information Analyzer environment
- Understanding security considerations around data analysis
- Understanding the methodology supporting data analysis
- Using Information Analyzer to analyze data content and structure
- Using Information Analyzer to construct data rules and utilize IBM-supplied data rule templates
